That’s why we’re looking for an IT Administrator (m/f/d) to support our employees with technical questions, manage our hardware and IT infrastructure, and make sure our systems and workstations run reliably and securely – primarily in Kiel and, when needed, on-site at our Hamburg office
Your Mission
- Manage our laptops and IT equipment – from setup and updates to troubleshooting
- Act as the first point of contact for IT issues and technical questions from our employees
- Take care of our internet, Wi-Fi, and network infrastructure across our offices
- Set up new workstations and technical equipment for new team members
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions across relevant tools
- Install and manage software and ensure devices are kept up to date
- Ensure the basic security of our IT devices and systems, including device encryption, secure configurations, updates, access controls, and endpoint security
- Monitor and maintain security-related settings on company laptops and other devices
- Troubleshoot everyday hardware and software issues and find quick, practical solutions
- Keep track of our IT equipment and take care of hardware procurement and replacements
- Maintain documentation of important IT processes, devices, access rights, and security settings
- Support our Hamburg office with IT-related topics and travel there when needed to resolve technical issues on-site
- Take care of general IT tasks and ensure our technical infrastructure works reliably across both locations
Qualifications And Requirements
- Previous experience in IT administration, IT support, or a comparable role
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to analyze and solve problems independently
- Good knowledge of Windows and/or macOS as well as common Office and SaaS applications
- Basic knowledge of networks, Wi-Fi, hardware, and user administration
- A good understanding of IT security basics, particularly device encryption, secure access, updates, permissions, and endpoint security
- A structured, reliable, and solution-oriented way of working
- A hands-on mentality and no hesitation to solve technical problems directly on-site
- Willingness to regularly travel between our Kiel and Hamburg offices when required
- The ability to explain technical topics clearly – even to colleagues without an IT background
- An independent working style and the initiative to identify areas for improvement yourself
- Good german & english skills
