Your Role

As an IT CAx Specialist (m/f/d) for Electrical Design & Machine Control, you help shape the future of digital engineering within a global technology-driven environment. Working closely with engineering, automation, and IT experts around the world, you drive the development and optimization of our CAx application landscape and contribute to standardized, scalable, and future-ready engineering processes. In this role, you combine technical expertise, consulting, and project work to enable innovative solutions that support business success worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously improve the global tool and data landscape for electrical design and machine control engineering
  • Act as the central IT expert and architect for EPLAN and Siemens SIMATIC environments, aligned with global IT infrastructure
  • Manage licenses, servers, databases, material tables, and part synchronization processes
  • Ensure seamless integration of EPLAN with PLM systems, preferably SAP PLM
  • Support deployment, updates, and continuous improvement of CAx tools
  • Provide global 2nd-level support for business users
  • Analyze IT requirements and lead projects from design through testing to implementation

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Strong expertise in electrical design tools, especially EPLAN
  • Experience with Siemens-based automation solutions (e.g., SIMATIC Step)
  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM systems (e.g., SAP PLM/ECTR or Autodesk Vault)
  • Basic understanding of software packaging and deployment methods
  • ITIL Foundation or similar knowledge of IT service management
  • Strong stakeholder management, change management, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a global IT network with very good English communication skills
