IT / Financial Audit Junior

Your Mission

• Conduct audits of accounting-related information systems, IT-supported business processes, IT organisations and IT infrastructure, and support statutory audit teams in the use of data analytics.
• Participate in audits of financial statements, other assurance-related engagements and special IT audits.
• Identify and assess risks arising from the use of information technology and develop recommendations for secure and effective IT processes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary, firm-wide projects involving AI and other relevant technological solutions.
• Perform audit procedures and review accounting records, financial data and supporting documentation to assess their accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable standards.
• Identify inconsistencies, unusual transactions and potential areas of risk through data analysis and analytical audit procedures.
• Contribute to the preparation of high-quality audit documentation, working papers and audit reports.
• Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues and build strong working relationships.
• Continuously develop your technical knowledge and stay informed about developments in auditing, accounting, technology and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications And Requirements

• A degree in Business Information Systems, Accounting, Auditing, Finance and Technology, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome. Initial experience in IT audit, external audit, internal audit, accounting or a related area is considered an advantage.
• A basic understanding of accounting and auditing principles. Knowledge of Lux GAAP, HGB, IFRS or other accounting frameworks is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Eagerness to learn, develop professionally and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• An innovative and solution-oriented mindset, combined with a genuine interest in using technology to improve audit processes and business operations.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI, data analytics and digital tools, as well as a willingness to explore their practical application in an audit environment.
• A proactive and reliable approach, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong communication skills in English and German. French and any additional languages are considered an advantage.
