Wanna join the adventure?
Loft Orbital’s mission is to make space simple for organizations, and Loft IT’s mission is to make work simple for employees. Our Toulouse office is growing, and we’re looking for an IT Support Technician to join our international IT team. Working alongside our IT Site Lead, you’ll be a go-to person on the ground for Toulouse-based support, while contributing to IT activities across all of our offices worldwide.
You’ll focus most of your time on end-user support and onboarding, with opportunities to grow into infrastructure and application administration. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology, has a customer-centric personality, and intrinsically understands how good IT enables a business. This is a great role for someone with solid support experience looking to level up their career — not an entry-level position, but one with plenty of room to grow.
Your time will be split across four main areas: Operational Support, Infrastructure & Application Administration, Documentation, and Facilities care.
Operational support (50%) — The IT program at Loft is designed to empower our users to do their best work:
Serve as the first point of contact for Toulouse-based support issues; assist colleagues with computer questions, hardware upgrades, application permission issues, printers, etc.
Help colleagues with the procurement of new software tools and IT equipment
Support lab operations (Network setup, vSphere administration, environmental controls)
Support the IT team during investigatory and regulatory audits
Infrastructure and application administration (20%) — Keep Loft running smoothly:
Work with our People Team to facilitate employee onboarding across our offices, and be the on-site IT contact for all Toulouse new hires
Provision Mac, Windows, and Linux laptops for new employees via our MDM tooling
Create and manage permissions for end-user SaaS accounts (Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, etc.)
Documentation (15%) — At Loft, documentation is as important as completing the task:
Document new projects as well as existing systems
With direction from IT leadership, maintain and update IT’s internal doc repos (how-tos, IT policy, etc.) — strong written English required, as our documentation is shared across all offices
Facilities Care (15%) — Join the team in charge of taking care of our offices in Toulouse :
Provide assistance and perform break/fix work for AV conference rooms
Help keep the offices safe and secure
Get involved in maintenance and improvement projects of the offices
2+ years of hands-on IT support experience following industry best practices
Professional working proficiency in French and English (spoken and written) — you’ll support our Toulouse team locally and collaborate daily with an international team
Strong end-user support skills and a customer-service mindset — able to translate technical issues into plain language
Experience with internal corporate networking (DNS, VPN, VLANs)
Experience administering SaaS environments and SSO technologies (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, O365)
Based in (or able to relocate to) the Toulouse area; this is an on-site role
Experience with Okta administration
Experience using/supporting Linux as a desktop operating system
Knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
Working knowledge of industry security practices
Experience with GCP or AWS in a DevOps/SRE capacity
Kubernetes or Docker experience
Equity, we want you to have an active role in our success
Up to 35 days of Paid Time Off (vacations & RTT ) and flexible working hours, we want you to be at your best
Health and life insurance, we care about your health
Lunch Vouchers, because let’s be honest, we love food! (we even have a slack channel about it #loft-gourmand)
Cross-office travel opportunities between San Francisco, Colorado, and Toulouse to learn from our differences
Company and team off-sites and many other events to work & celebrate together
Relocation assistance to Toulouse when applicable
