Mexican degree-holding professionals can compete for 34 JICA–SECIHTI scholarships for 3- or 8-month technical training stays in Japan, with applications open through 25 September 2026.

The 54th Mexico–Japan Strategic Global Partnership human-resource programme offers seven specialist courses in areas including sustainable agriculture, intellectual property, quality and productivity management, arid-land agriculture, design and craftsmanship, information science and engineering, and startup ecosystem development. Courses in Japan are taught in English and include applied research and an action-plan project.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be Mexican nationals, hold a completed licenciatura, specialty or master's degree with a minimum average of 8.0 or equivalent, have verifiable work experience related to the chosen course, be available full-time for the Japan stay, demonstrate English at CEFR B2, be willing to learn Japanese, be in suitable physical health for in-person participation, and not belong to the military.
