The 2026 João Monjardino Prize recognizes the best scientific article on “Multimorbidity and Frailty in Older Adults: Clinical and Therapeutic Challenges.” The prize is €10,000, paid as a single lump sum and jointly funded by FCT and the Professor Francisco Pulido Valente Foundation. The article may already be published or formally accepted for publication; there is no restriction on publication year.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be researchers under 35 at the application closing date and affiliated with an institution in Portugal’s scientific and technological system. The research must have been carried out in that system. The applicant must be first author or a co-author whose equal contribution is explicitly recognized. Only one original article per applicant is admitted.
