The call covers eight collaboration themes, each with up to four collaborative PhD projects. Doctoral students spend 12–24 months at a JRC site. No funds transfer between institutions; JRC employs students during JRC placements and covers salary, necessary training and work-related travel.
Eligibility requirements
Partner institutions must be from an EU Member State or an associated country, have autonomy to sign agreements, be able to host/train PhD candidates, and be accredited to award doctorates; non-awarding research organisations may apply with an accredited partner.
