What You Will Be Doing
- Performing administrative and quality checks on financial statements prepared by the team to ensure completeness and consistency
- Reviewing financial statements for formatting, spelling, cross-references, pagination, and basic presentation accuracy
- Assisting in preparing supporting schedules, working papers, and documentation required for financial statement completion
- Presenting financial statements for review to senior members of staff
- Updating and maintain available tracking logs, checklists, and internal records to monitor the progress of financial statement engagements
- Liaising with internal team members to follow up on outstanding documents or amendments required
- Liaising with external parties in relation to financial statements, including investment managers, administrators, auditors and other service providers
- Assisting with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as assigned by the team
What You Will Need
- Related degree or qualification
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise between tasks and adhere to strict time deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Some industry experience in an accounting role would be an advantage
- Academic knowledge of IFRS and GAAP would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- A keen interest in learning and in career progression
- Honesty and professionalism when dealing with clients and colleagues
- Highly motivated to learn, perform, and develop
- Strong individual and teamwork skills
