Full job description

Technology keeps the world moving - It’s no different here at Hot Topic. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Junior Analyst to help support and maintain our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related warehouse applications. In this role, you will assist with system testing, troubleshooting, enhancements, and day-to-day maintenance to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.

You will work closely with senior analysts, warehouse operations teams, and IT partners to help coordinate system updates, support new functionality, and validate changes through structured testing. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, communicates clearly, collaborates well with others, and builds strong working relationships across teams to help deliver effective solutions that support warehouse and distribution operations.

This role can be based in the Nashville, TN or Riverside, CA offices. Minimum 3 days a week onsite up to 5 days per week.

Troubleshoot and diagnose WMS-related issues to determine whether they stem from system configuration, data integrity, integrations, or warehouse process gaps. Provide hands-on technical support or escalate complex issues to the appropriate internal or vendor teams. Partner with warehouse operations, supply chain teams, project managers, and third-party vendors to define project scope, align on system enhancements, establish WMS goals, and proactively identify and resolve system or process issues. Assist in extracting WMS data and conducting detailed analysis of warehouse process flows, ensuring system functionality aligns with existing operational workflows such as receiving, putaway, picking, packing, replenishment, and shipping. Support senior analysts with WMS configuration, implementation, testing, documentation, and ongoing system support to ensure business functions operate efficiently within the warehouse environment. Communicate WMS system enhancements, updates, and modifications to key stakeholders, helping bridge the gap between technical solutions and operational impact. Assist in developing and executing WMS test cases in partnership with the QA team to validate system changes, enhancements, integrations, and new functionality as part of the Quality Assurance process. Support end-user training for warehouse associates and operational leaders on WMS functionality, new tools, system updates, and best practices to drive adoption and minimize disruptions.

0-1 years of experience and exposure in Systems Development Life Cycle and/or experience in supporting systems as a System/IT Analyst or developer. Internships welcomed. Knowledge about Supply Chain, Warehouses, and/or retail. Experience in the preparation of process charts and analysis that reflect workflow, external validation and audit points, and output requirements. Shown the ability to be able to translate technical terms to business terms. Exposure to working with IT Systems with basic knowledge of SDLC life cycle and exposure to Databases/API's and Messaging ( XML/JSON). Nice to have: Cognos SCI, Manhattan WMS experience.
