The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at non-profits tackling some of our nation's most pressing policy challenges all over the United States. Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program. Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to begin the admissions process early!

Please note that all Koch Internship Program interns MUST be available every other Thursday from 1-4:00 PM ET for virtual professional development training AND the in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA June 3-4.

About Media Research Center:

The Media Research Center (MRC) is America’s premier media watchdog. About the role The Media Research Center is seeking an Government Affairs Intern to support our coalition relations, outreach, and event planning efforts. This intern will work closely with MRC’s Government Affairs team to help build relationships with partner organizations, assist with research projects, and coordinate communications and events. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is passionate about conservative values and eager to gain firsthand experience in political outreach and coalition-building.

The Government Affairs Intern will be a key contributor to several high-impact initiatives and will collaborate with multiple departments across the organization. The role is based at MRC’s headquarters and is in-person only.

This internship is designed for students and recent graduates. The position is in-person only at MRC headquarters; remote work is not available.

Assist with outreach to conservative coalition partners and allied organizations Support weekly newsletter creation and distribution Help organize and plan events Update and maintain contact databases and lists Conduct research to support Government Affairs initiatives Coordinate logistics and communications across departments as needed

Interested in current events and the conservative movement Organized, self-motivated, and reliable Strong time management and communication skills Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment Pursuing or recently completed a degree in political science, government affairs, public relations, or a related field
