KoEF supports development-relevant collaborative research between an Austrian public university or research-performing institution and at least one state-accredited partner institution in an eligible OECD DAC least-developed, other low-income or lower-middle-income country or territory, excluding India under this call. Projects run for 24 months and may receive up to €40,000. Eligible costs include research mobility and essential material costs.
Eligibility requirements
Only PhD-holding researchers affiliated with an Austrian public university or Austrian research-performing institution may submit and coordinate. Participating researchers must be PhD students or PhD holders; master's students are not eligible. Each consortium must include at least one Austrian institution and at least one eligible partner institution in a qualifying Global South country.
