Tips for this fellowship

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  2. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  3. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  4. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Verified against the current 2027 KF Field Research announcement. Type A receives KRW 2,300,000/month and Type B KRW 3,000,000/month. Other support includes travel insurance, one-time entry support (KRW 500,000 for doctoral candidates, KRW 1,000,000 for PhD holders, or KRW 1,500,000 for tenured associate/full professors) and round-trip economy airfare only for fellows residing in qualifying DAC ODA countries as defined by the current call.
