Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable back-end services in Kotlin, using frameworks like Ktor or Spring Boot (Kotlin DSL).

  • Design, build, and maintain event-driven microservices and APIs (REST or GraphQL).

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, applying TDD/BDD principles with tools like JUnit or MockK.

  • Contribute to distributed architectures using Kafka, Cassandra, or similar technologies.

  • Define infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Bicep.

  • Collaborate in Agile DevOps teams to ship and run production-ready software.

  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and documentation writing.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience. 

  • Advanced proficiency in the English Language (at least B2 in speaking, writing, listening, and reading).

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Solid background in Java, comfortable working in mixed Kotlin/Java codebases.

  • Strong experience with Spring Boot (Kotlin DSL) or Kotlin-first frameworks like Ktor.

  • Experience designing and scaling microservices, with a focus on performance and maintainability.

  • Strong experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures, ideally in high-traffic or mission-critical environments where scalability and reliability are essential.

  • Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and databases (Cassandra, PostgreSQL).

  • Proficiency in API design patterns (REST, GraphQL) and secure coding.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
