The Kuwait Program Faculty Research Collaboration Grants support one- or two-year Harvard faculty-led projects on policy challenges facing Kuwait and the Gulf/Arab region. The programme particularly values Kuwait-based co-investigators or postdoctoral fellows, collaboration with Kuwaiti research institutions, or Kuwait fieldwork that can build new research connections. Projects should use strong scientific/data-analytic methods and aim toward peer-reviewed outputs. Allowable grant uses include research assistance, travel, summer salary, workshops and course buy-out.
Eligibility requirements
Proposals must be led or co-led by a Harvard University faculty member with Principal Investigator status. The programme is for Harvard faculty and their Kuwait-based collaborators and particularly encourages co-investigators or postdoctoral fellows from or based in Kuwait and collaboration with Kuwait research institutions. Kuwait fieldwork proposals without a Kuwaiti co-investigator may also be considered when they have strong potential to create Kuwait-based research connections.
