ABOUT THE ROLE As Lead Data Platform Engineer, you will own the data foundation behind an AI-powered procurement platform. You will shape its architecture and build reliable data capabilities that help customers make informed spend decisions. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and evolve multi-tenant architecture, shared data models, and controls that keep customer data isolated, trustworthy, and performant.
- Build data cleaning, reconciliation, and calculation foundations for spend analysis, benchmarks, and simulations.
- Work with customer IT teams to connect ERP systems, establish secure access, and turn integrations into reusable platform capabilities.
- Own ingestion pipelines, orchestration, monitoring, and recovery, and build tools that speed up onboarding and issue resolution.
- Explore AI-powered engineering tools and automation to improve how the team builds. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience building and operating substantial production data systems, with ownership of architecture and implementation.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Experience designing multi-tenant systems with robust data isolation and access controls.
- Background integrating enterprise systems and collaborating with customer IT teams on their data environments. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. LOCATION This is an on-site role based in Berlin, Germany.
