Lead, Data Validation Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead, Data Validation Specialist based in India. This role leads a team responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data during new client onboarding. You will combine people leadership with hands-on data validation, overseeing workflows while maintaining your own portfolio of validation projects. The position is primarily non-client-facing and is well suited to someone who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work and takes pride in data accuracy. You will help establish consistent standards, improve validation processes, and increase the scalability and efficiency of data operations. The role involves close collaboration with global teams across Sales, Client Solutions, Product, and Engineering. You will also support team development through coaching, feedback, career guidance, and a culture centered on collaboration and continuous learning. Lead and mentor a team of Data Validation Specialists, supporting professional development, providing regular feedback, and helping team members succeed in their roles. Manage work allocation, prioritization, and execution across the team to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule. Review and audit data validation projects to ensure adherence to established standards, processes, and best practices. Maintain a personal portfolio of data validation projects, performing hands-on review, reconciliation, and quality checks alongside leadership responsibilities. Drive process improvements that increase data accuracy and occurrence, reduce turnaround times, and improve operational scalability. Develop, maintain, and improve documentation, templates, workflows, and standard operating procedures for data validation activities. Identify opportunities to improve consistency across data conversion and validation projects. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including Sales, Client Solutions, Product, and Engineering, to deliver integrated data solutions. Foster a collaborative team environment focused on learning, accountability, quality, and shared success. Help establish consistent approaches to data validation while supporting the growth and effectiveness of the broader global function. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or another data-oriented discipline. 3+ years of experience in data validation, financial operations, data quality assurance, or a related field. 1+ year of people leadership or team coordination experience is preferred. Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with demonstrated experience maintaining accuracy in high-volume data environments. Excellent attention to detail and a process-oriented approach to structured, repetitive data work. Strong communication skills, with the ability to guide colleagues and influence stakeholders across teams. Proficiency with spreadsheets such as Excel, internal business tools, and web-based platforms. Familiarity with financial data is beneficial but not required; the ability to quickly learn new systems and navigate structured data processes is important. Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset. Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative, globally distributed environment. Ability to work in 2:30 PM–11:30 PM IST shift timings.
