We are looking for a Lead Head Housekeeper to join our Operations team and provide cross-village leadership, guidance and practical support to our housekeeping teams.

This is a key role for someone who takes pride in high standards, enjoys supporting others, and understands the importance of safe, clean, welcoming environments for customers, families, colleagues and visitors.

About the role

As Lead Head Housekeeper, you will support housekeeping services across Belong villages, helping to ensure consistent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, infection prevention and customer experience.

You will work closely with Head Housekeepers, village management teams and central support colleagues to provide coaching, audits, quality reviews, improvement support and hands-on guidance where needed.

This is a visible, practical and people-focused role, ideal for an experienced housekeeping professional who is ready to make an impact across multiple sites.

Requirements

About you

We are looking for someone with strong housekeeping experience, excellent standards and a natural ability to support and influence others.

You will need:

  • A couple of years of experience in a senior housekeeping role
  • Experience within care, hospitality or another service-led environment
  • Experience supporting housekeeping operations across multiple sites or villages
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning processes, equipment, products and safe working practices
  • Understanding of COSHH and infection prevention and control
  • Experience carrying out audits, quality checks or risk assessments
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing housekeeping teams
  • Experience building relationships with village managers and external suppliers
  • Experience supporting residents and families in a customer-facing service environment
  • The ability to travel regularly across Belong villages
  • A full driving licence
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
  • A relevant cleaning qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Building Interiors, would be desirable. We would also consider someone willing to work towards this.
