Lead .Net Engineer

N-iX is looking for a Tech Lead to join a long-term product development initiative. In this role, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, including architecture design, system development, deployment, and maintenance of both new and existing features. You will play a key role in driving backend development, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and high code quality while mentoring team members and contributing to technical decision-making. Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications using C# and .NET Take ownership of backend architecture and technical solutions Lead and mentor developers, fostering engineering excellence and best practices Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical discussions Implement and promote best practices in software development, testing, version control, and CI/CD Build and maintain scalable APIs and distributed systems Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement Requirements 6+ years of experience in Backend Development using C#/.NET technologies Strong expertise in modern .NET ecosystem and backend application development Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL Strong experience designing, building, and consuming APIs, including concepts such as caching, rate limiting, queues, and performance optimization Experience with messaging systems and asynchronous communication patterns (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar) Deep understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and architecture best practices Experience with microservices architecture Hands-on experience with unit testing and integration testing Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and application security best practices Experience with structured logging and observability practices Experience using Git and GitHub workflows Knowledge of MVC architecture Understanding of HTTP protocols and web technologies Basic knowledge of frontend technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS Strong communication and leadership skills Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English, both written and spoken Positive attitude, strong ownership mindset, and ability to work effectively within a team Active GitHub profile with private repositories available for review Nice to Have Experience with Blazor Knowledge of gRPC Experience with Angular and reactive programming principles Understanding of Scrum/Agile development methodologies Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)   We offer*: Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible A competitive salary and good compensation package Personalized career growth Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more) Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing Education reimbursement Memorable anniversary presents Corporate events and team buildings Other location-specific benefits *not applicable for freelancers
