Full job description
The lecturer will teach and assess emergency medical care and technical rescue, supervise research, support practical rescue training and participate in disaster-response and short-learning activities. Areas include rope, swift-water, wilderness, helicopter, structural-collapse, trench, hazardous-materials and confined-space rescue.
Requirements & qualifications
The vacancy requires current HPCSA Emergency Care Practitioner registration, a relevant Master's or appropriate NQF 9 professional qualification, substantial higher-education rescue teaching experience, specified driving/skipper/operator licences, and the ability to pass physical fitness and swimming assessments.
