Full job description

The fixed-term appointment is initially two years. The official notice lists a net annual base salary of USD 64,121 plus a USD 54,310 post adjustment based on the August 2026 rate, with payments made in Swiss francs; the post adjustment is variable. The role covers legislative advice, legal research, drafting, outreach and capacity building.

Requirements & qualifications

First-level university degree in law plus at least six years of relevant professional patent-law experience, including at least one of policy design, law-making, legislative drafting, prosecution/litigation or transactional work. Excellent written and spoken English is required; Arabic, Russian or Portuguese and other UN languages are desirable.
