Overview
US$2,000 supplementary scholarship for eligible Latin American and Caribbean international students in the United States who are simultaneously applying for a Rowe Fund interest-free loan.
Complete scholarship details
Fall 2026 applications are open. The supplementary scholarship provides US$2,000 toward tuition and living expenses. Applications are accepted year-round with a monthly cutoff on the fifth day of each month rather than a single final deadline. Priority is given to STEM and environmental science; medical fields, aviation, business administration and legal study programmes are excluded.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be Latin American or Caribbean international students holding F/J visas, be in the last two years of undergraduate, master’s or doctoral study at an accredited U.S. university, be eligible for a Rowe Fund interest-free loan, and apply for that loan and the supplementary scholarship simultaneously. Awards consider financial need, academic achievement and commitment to the development of Latin America and the Caribbean. Honduran students may qualify as Latin American applicants if they meet the remaining conditions.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the current OAS Rowe Fund home page and current supplementary scholarship conditions. The programme explicitly says applications are year-round with a monthly cutoff on the fifth, so no final deadline is invented.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
