Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Life Sciences & Payer Sales Leader based in United States. As the Life Sciences & Payer Sales Leader, you will define and execute growth strategies across two critical and highly regulated healthcare segments. You will lead market expansion, strengthen relationships with enterprise customers, and drive significant net-new and expansion revenue. The role combines executive-level selling with leadership of a high-performing team of sales leaders and Enterprise Account Executives. You will work closely with Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Professional Services, and executive stakeholders to create integrated customer strategies. Your deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem will help shape market strategy, partnerships, and customer engagement. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced enterprise SaaS sales executive who thrives in complex environments and is comfortable influencing C-suite decision-makers.
Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the U.S. Life Sciences and Payers vertical, aligning regional priorities with broader business objectives and identifying high-value accounts and market opportunities. Own and exceed annual revenue objectives across net-new annual contract value, expansion revenue, and renewals while increasing customer adoption and platform utilization. Lead complex, multi-product enterprise sales cycles across sophisticated buying groups, procurement environments, and C-suite stakeholders, demonstrating measurable business value. Serve as a trusted advisor on the U.S. Life Sciences and Payers ecosystem, including health plans, PBMs, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology organizations, while monitoring industry trends, regulatory developments, and market opportunities. Build and strengthen strategic relationships with healthcare consulting firms, systems integrators, technology providers, and industry influencers to expand market reach, generate pipeline, and support enterprise co-selling. Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing sales leaders and Enterprise Account Executives while fostering accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Establish a disciplined operating rhythm focused on sales analytics, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, territory planning, resource allocation, and sales productivity. Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Solution Engineering to create a unified customer experience and influence product and market strategy. Champion customer-centric growth by strengthening executive sponsorship, delivering measurable outcomes, supporting retention and expansion, and creating opportunities for long-term advocacy. Model a culture of transparency, innovation, collaboration, and high performance while inspiring teams to achieve ambitious business goals. Requirements Significant enterprise SaaS sales experience, ideally with substantial experience leading enterprise sales teams selling directly into U.S. Life Sciences and/or Payer organizations. At least 2 years of second-line executive sales leadership experience managing multi-layered teams, including sales managers and Enterprise Account Executives, preferred. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding complex vertical revenue targets within rapidly scaling organizations, including experience in $1B–$5B+ corporate growth environments. Demonstrated expertise in direct enterprise selling as well as developing and co-selling through strategic partner ecosystems. Proven ability to lead multi-product enterprise software sales motions involving long, complex decision-making cycles and multiple stakeholders. Deep understanding of the U.S. Life Sciences and Payer ecosystem, including health plans, PBMs, pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations, reimbursement models, market access strategies, regulatory considerations, and key executive stakeholders. Strong executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships with C-suite, clinical, IT, HR, and other senior decision-makers. Strong operational discipline, with experience using sales analytics, KPIs, forecasting, pipeline inspection, and structured performance management to drive predictable results. Hands-on leadership approach, including direct involvement in complex sales cycles, high-stakes negotiations, coaching, and strategic enterprise deals. Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, influencing, and people leadership skills. Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree such as an MBA or equivalent is preferred. Benefits Remote position within the United States. Base annual salary range of $166,000–$217,500 USD , with actual compensation varying based on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. Potential eligibility for a sign-on bonus and restricted stock units. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Life and disability insurance. 401(k) plan with employer match. Paid time off. Wellness reimbursement. Mental health benefits. Experience bonus. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities throughout the application, interview, and employment process.
