Overview

Lithuanian higher-education and research institutions can seek national funding for eligible Eureka biotechnology R&D projects, with up to €300,000 for the Lithuanian part and €1.5 million allocated nationally.

Complete grant details

The 2026 Eureka biotechnology call supports market-oriented international R&D projects carried out jointly by academia and industry. Lithuania has allocated up to €1.5 million for this call, with a maximum of €300,000 for the Lithuanian part of a project. Eligible Lithuanian higher-education and research institutions must apply with private profit-making SME partners engaged in economic activity and also satisfy the international Eureka call conditions.

Eligibility requirements

The Lithuanian applicant must be an eligible higher-education or research institution and apply together with qualifying SME partner(s). The project must first satisfy the international Eureka Biotechnology Call and the Lithuanian national funding conditions.

Tips for this grant

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Complete the international Eureka proposal and the Lithuanian national funding submission required by RCL.
  2. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  3. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  4. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  5. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Verified against the official RCL announcement. National applications run from 1 April through 25 September 2026 at 17:00 CEST, normalized to 15:00 UTC. The national allocation is up to €1.5 million and the Lithuanian share per project is capped at €300,000.
