Overview

Lithuanian participants in the 2026 Eureka Lightweighting Call can seek up to €300,000 for their project share; Lithuania has allocated up to €600,000 to the call.

Complete grant details

The call supports market-oriented international R&D in lightweight structures, novel materials, sustainable manufacturing, circular-economy approaches, digital technologies, machine learning and related lightweighting solutions. The consortium must contain at least two independent legal entities from at least two participating Eureka countries, and no single country or participant may account for more than 70% of the total project budget. An international proposal is submitted via Eureka SmartSimple and the Lithuanian national application is then submitted in Lithuanian to RCL.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must participate in an eligible international Eureka Lightweighting 2026 consortium and satisfy the Lithuanian national conditions. Partner countries listed by RCL include Austria, Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), Estonia, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea and Türkiye.

Tips for this grant

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Submit the international proposal through Eureka SmartSimple and complete the separate Lithuanian national submission.
  2. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  3. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  4. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  5. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Verified against the official RCL call, last updated 3 July 2026. Lithuania allocates up to €600,000, with a maximum €300,000 Lithuanian share per project. National applications are due 8 October 2026 at 17:00 Lithuanian time; because the source gives local time rather than a named timezone, the record stores deadline_date only.
