Overview
A 2026 Lithuanian funding measure supporting research and higher-education institutions that employ researchers and doctoral candidates from Ukraine, with an EUR 800,000 programme allocation and 80% funding intensity.
Complete grant details
The measure compensates salary costs and related social-security and mandatory contributions for eligible researchers from Ukraine employed at Lithuanian research and higher-education institutions. The supported employment period runs from 2 January through 31 December 2026. Applications are accepted continuously until 31 October 2026 at 16:00 through the Research Council of Lithuania electronic system. The official call does not label the deadline timezone, so no timezone is inferred in the structured deadline.
Eligibility requirements
Applications may be submitted by Lithuanian research and higher-education institutions listed in the Register of Education and Research Institutions. Supported employees are researchers from Ukraine who hold a doctoral degree, or doctoral candidates in science or the arts, carrying out research at the institution. The official call also requires the institution to confirm the employed researcher has the specified Lithuanian migration-registration card or equivalent document.
Tips for this grant
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Primary Research Council of Lithuania call checked directly. The call states 31 October 2026 at 16:00 but does not label a timezone; deadline_date is stored without inventing a timezone.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
