Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our Litigation Department in Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented paralegal with strong litigation, discovery, trial preparation, and case management experience to support complex business disputes in California state and federal courts. The role offers substantial responsibility, meaningful attorney and client interaction, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:

Support attorneys through all phases of commercial litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, arbitration, and trial
-
Prepare, organize, and file pleadings and other documents in California state and federal courts, including through PACER/ECF and other e-filing systems
-
Manage case files, deadlines, calendars, and workflows to ensure matters progress efficiently and accurately
-
Assist with drafting, reviewing, and finalizing pleadings, discovery, correspondence, briefs, exhibits, and appendices
-
Coordinate document collections, reviews, and productions, and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other case tracking tools

Support deposition, hearing, arbitration, and trial preparation, including witness materials, exhibits, and logistics
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required
-
3+ years of paralegal experience in commercial litigation
-
Significant experience supporting litigation matters in both California state and federal courts
-
Strong discovery management, document production, and trial preparation experience
-
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex matters independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing demands
-
Excellent research, drafting, organizational, project management, and communication skills
-
Meticulous attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and litigation support teams.
