As a Logistics Engineer, you will collaborate, cross functionally, on installation, maintenance, and site optimization initiatives. This role will require the ability to effectively manage timelines, evolve to meet changing demands, and an ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships. Additionally, analytical skills are needed to contribute with reports, risk analysis and decision matrices. All of your activities require proper documentation in Standard Operating Procedures and other work instructions. You may also be asked to train the related contents of these documents if needed.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • 30% Develop logistic metrics, internal analysis tools, or key performance indicators for business units.
  • 10% Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, zero-base analyses, rate analyses, network analyses, flow-path analyses, or supply chain analyses.
  • 20% Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities.
  • 20% Analyzing Data or Information — Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • 10% Design plant distribution centers.
  • 5% Evaluate the use of technologies, such as global positioning systems (GPS), radio-frequency identification (RFID), route navigation software, or satellite linkup systems, to improve transportation efficiency.
  • 5% Conduct environmental audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation.
  • Perform data analysis and requirements.
  • Site evaluation, site and building requirements.
  • Planning process and material flow, Warehouse-Infrastructure & layout planning.
  • Productivities & staff requirements.
  • Establish and plan budgeting investments and project costs.
  • Project planning for timelines and milestones.
  • Understanding and developing of layouts.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial or supply chain engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance, industrial or manufacturing engineering capacity.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% within the US, with potential for international travel, if needed.
  • Basic knowledge in ERP system, preferably SAP.
