About the Role We're looking for a highly analytical, AI-native Research & Content Strategy Associate to help us produce industry-leading research, thought leadership, and marketing content. This role sits at the intersection of market research, data analysis, content creation, and AI-powered workflow automation. You'll conduct original research, identify emerging market trends, produce professional research reports, create compelling marketing content, and leverage the latest AI tools to dramatically increase productivity and quality. Responsibilities Primary Research Conduct primary research through surveys, interviews, outreach campaigns, and expert conversations Perform secondary research across industry reports, financial filings, news sources, academic publications, and proprietary datasets Develop research methodologies that produce differentiated market intelligence Validate findings through multiple independent sources Data Analysis Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and investment themes Synthesize quantitative and qualitative information into actionable insights Build dashboards, visualizations, and supporting analysis Identify emerging technologies, competitive dynamics, and market shifts Research Reports Produce professional-quality research reports suitable for executive audiences Write market landscapes, industry analyses, company profiles, white papers, and thought leadership Transform complex technical topics into clear, compelling narratives Ensure exceptional editorial quality, accuracy, and visual presentation Content Marketing Create high-quality content across multiple formats including: Articles Blog posts White papers Case studies LinkedIn content Website copy Presentation materials Sales collateral Repurpose long-form research into shorter, high-impact marketing assets Maintain a consistent editorial voice and brand quality Email Marketing Build and execute targeted email marketing campaigns Develop audience segmentation strategies Create compelling email copy that drives engagement Measure campaign performance and continuously optimize results A/B test messaging, subject lines, and content formats AI & Automation Leverage leading AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and others) to significantly improve research quality and productivity Build AI-assisted workflows for research, writing, data synthesis, and content generation Continuously evaluate new AI tools and incorporate them into daily workflows Help identify opportunities to automate repetitive knowledge work across the organization Qualifications 3–7+ years of experience in research, consulting, market intelligence, equity research, investment banking, journalism, strategy, or a related analytical role Exceptional writing and communication skills Experience producing polished research reports for executive audiences Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities Excellent attention to detail Comfortable working with large amounts of information and synthesizing complex topics quickly Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Experience Experience with one or more of the following: Market research Financial research Competitive intelligence Equity research Industry analysis B2B marketing Content marketing Email marketing platforms CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) Data visualization tools What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Naturally curious and obsessed with learning Able to quickly become an expert on unfamiliar industries An outstanding writer and storyteller Comfortable balancing analytical rigor with creativity Self-directed and thrives with minimal oversight Passionate about producing work that is both insightful and visually polished Focused on finding faster, smarter ways to accomplish complex work Bonus Points Experience using AI agents and workflow automation tools Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-assisted research workflows Experience creating executive presentations Basic design skills (PowerPoint, Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) Experience with video or multimedia content creation Background in financial services, fintech, venture capital, or technology Selected transactions include advising: Deribit’s $4.3 billion Sale to Coinbase Divvy's $2.5 billion Sale to Bill.com AvidXchange’s $2.2 billion Sale to TPG & Corpay GreenSky’s $2.2 billion Sale to Goldman Sachs Truebill’s $1.3 billion Sale to Rocket Companies Revolut's $1.3 billion Financing at a $33 billion Valuation Finicity’s $1 billion Sale to Mastercard Intermex’s $500 million Sale to Western Union SpotOn’s $300 million Series F Financing at a $3.6 billion Valuation Bilt’s $250 million Financing at a $10.75 billion Valuation Lumin Digital’s $200 million Growth Financing Stash’s $146 million Series H Financing CloudWalk’s $150 million Financing at a ~$2.2 billion Valuation Inclusion and Equal Opportunity Employment: Financial Technology Partners is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
