We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager - Structural Steel to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of structural steel construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and timely project completion. You will lead a team of skilled professionals and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results on complex heavy steel construction sites.

  • Supervise and manage all structural steel erection and fabrication activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and engineering drawings
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of site personnel, including steel workers, inspectors, and support staff, while fostering a culture of safety and excellence
  • Conduct daily site inspections and quality control checks to verify structural integrity, welding standards, and material specifications
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, progress reports, and documentation to track milestones and deliverables
  • Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and ensure all personnel adhere to local UAE regulations and international construction standards
  • Analyze project requirements and identify potential challenges, developing effective solutions to maintain project momentum and budget efficiency
  • Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and clients to address technical issues and ensure seamless project execution
  • Manage equipment, machinery, and material inventory on-site, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, inspections, and corrective actions
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and performance metrics
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in structural engineering and construction management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role leading the construction supervision of residential or retail projects.
  • Proven expertise in heavy steel project management and on-site coordination
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection techniques, and welding standards
  • Comprehensive understanding of UAE construction regulations, safety codes, and international building standards
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
  • Proficiency in project management tools and construction software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings, CAD files, and technical specifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control procedures
  • Experience with budget management and cost control on construction projects
