KPMG New Zealand is growing its Workday Practice and is looking for an experienced Manager to lead the design and delivery of selected Workday Financial Management modules and functional workstreams within complex finance transformations. This is an important, client-facing role for someone who can combine broad functional knowledge with deep expertise in one or more finance areas—owning module outcomes, guiding delivery teams and contributing to an integrated overall solution. You will work with clients across Aotearoa New Zealand and the wider region, supported by KPMG’s local consulting team and global Workday network. You will have the opportunity to influence our market offering, build capability and contribute to the continued growth of our Workday business.

Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of one or more Workday Financial Management modules or functional workstreams, from discovery and detailed design through configuration, testing, deployment and post-go-live optimisation. Own functional outcomes across areas such as core accounting, the Foundation Data Model, record to report, procure to pay, expenses, banking, customer accounts, assets, projects, reporting, consolidation or close. Translate business requirements into scalable Workday designs, ensuring effective integration across processes, accounting, controls, reporting, data, security and integrations. Facilitate design workshops, explain options and trade-offs, drive decisions, and identify risks, dependencies and practical mitigations. Lead and coach consultants, provide quality assurance and delivery oversight, and build trusted relationships with clients and adjacent workstream leads. Support proposals, estimates, demonstrations and client conversations, while contributing reusable assets, methods and thought leadership that grow KPMG’s Workday practice.

Workday Financial Management implementation experience, with deep expertise in one or more finance modules and sufficient breadth to understand dependencies across the wider solution. Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes and the Workday Foundation Data Model, including how accounting, reporting and operating-model requirements translate into scalable configuration. Experience leading modules or functional workstreams through the full implementation lifecycle and designing controlled, supportable and future-ready solutions. Confidence facilitating workshops, engaging senior finance stakeholders and presenting clear recommendations to governance forums. Strong grasp of cross-functional dependencies across business processes, security, reporting and analytics, data, integrations and connected systems. Relevant Workday Financial Management certifications are preferred; equivalent hands-on expertise and experience in consulting or complex environments will also be valued.
