Overview

MARIHE is a two-year, 120-ECTS Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in higher-education research, innovation and management, open worldwide for the 2027 intake.

Complete scholarship details

The programme starts with study in Austria and Finland and offers later specialisations across consortium partners in Europe and Asia, plus a worldwide internship. Participation costs/tuition of €18,000 are covered for all selected students. A limited number of Erasmus Mundus scholarships provide €1,400 per month for up to 24 months (maximum €33,600) as a contribution toward travel, visa, installation and subsistence. All selected students receive the programme's health and accident insurance coverage.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants need a first university degree of at least three years/180 ECTS in any discipline, sufficient academic English under MARIHE's accepted test or exemption rules, and strong motivation to work in higher-education development, research and innovation. Relevant work experience can strengthen an application but is not required for admission.

Tips for this scholarship

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Check the current English-language test/exemption rules and submit all Round 1 documents before 21 September 2026 at 10:00 CEST.
  2. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  3. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  4. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  5. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Verified on MARIHE's official 2027 application, admission and funding pages on 2 Sep 2026. The €18,000 tuition coverage applies to all selected students; the €1,400/month Erasmus Mundus stipend is limited to scholarship awardees.
