Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Market Development Manager based in the United States. This role leads regional market expansion and field sales growth within an assigned territory. You’ll build and develop a high-performing team of dealership-focused sales professionals. The position combines people leadership, strategic territory development, and hands-on field execution. You’ll cultivate high-value dealership partnerships and turn local market relationships into sustainable growth. By translating field insights into actionable strategy, you’ll help shape competitive positioning and market priorities. The role offers significant visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on regional performance. Residence within or near the assigned geographic territory is required, with frequent in-person travel throughout the region.

The Market Development Manager will own regional growth while leading from the field, developing talent, strengthening partnerships, and connecting market intelligence with broader business strategy. Own the territory expansion strategy by identifying high-potential sub-markets, dealership partners, and long-term growth opportunities. Hire, mentor, coach, and develop Dealership Account Managers while building a culture centered on accountability, resilience, and partnership excellence. Develop and strengthen key dealership relationships through consultative support and a high-touch, service-focused approach. Lead by example in the field, modeling effective sales and partnership practices while driving volume and quality targets. Monitor market activity and translate field insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership, competitive positioning, and local sales playbooks. Collaborate with underwriting, credit, and internal sales teams to ensure consistent execution and a seamless dealership experience. Build a high-performing, accountable field organization with strong retention and scalable dealership partnerships. Drive regional market share and contract-volume growth while maintaining strong alignment between field execution and senior-level strategy. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings strong automotive finance or dealership partnership experience, proven people leadership, and the ability to combine relationship-building with data-driven market development. 5+ years of experience in automotive lending, F&I, indirect auto, or dealership partnership environments. 2+ years of experience leading or developing a field sales team, including formal or informal leadership experience. Proven success expanding territories and increasing dealership production. Strong dealership relationships and established credibility within the local market. Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to coach and engage directly in the field. Customer-focused, highly organized, resilient, and committed to excellence. Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot. Ability to analyze volume trends, identify opportunity gaps, and translate data into action. Comfortable working a six-day week and making frequent in-person dealership visits. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus. Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Benefits: $90,000–$300,000 annual compensation range. Base salary starting at $90,000 with uncapped monthly commission and performance-based bonus opportunities. Unlimited earning potential tied to market performance, deal generation, and business growth. Monthly travel stipend to support regional field activities. Company-issued laptop. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage beginning on the first day of the month following your start date. 401(k) match and additional benefits. Unlimited PTO to provide flexibility in managing time and schedules. Opportunity to lead regional growth and build a high-performing field sales organization. High-impact role within the automotive finance sector, with significant exposure to market strategy and dealership partnerships.
