Early Years Math Instructor
The QED Africa Foundation (https://qed.ai) is focused on improving public health, food security, and education. We bring the hacker spirit to global challenges faced in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. QED is partnered with S.A.M. https://seriouslyaddictivemaths.com.sg/ (Seriously Addictive Maths), a globally recognized Singaporean math enrichment program focused on building excellent numeracy, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills in children.
We are hiring for an Early Years Math Instructor (Ages 4–6), focused on introducing young learners to numbers, patterns, and basic problem-solving in a fun, structured, and engaging way.

Key Responsibilities

Teach foundational math concepts, like counting, multiplication, using hands-on and guided approaches

Engage students through interactive, age-appropriate instruction

Build students’ confidence and positive attitude toward mathematics

Provide close individual attention and encouragement
-
Communicate regularly with parents on student progress

Ideal Candidate Profile
-
Enjoys working with young children (nursery and early primary)
-
Energetic, patient, and highly engaging
-
Strong communication skills with both children and parents
-
Background in Early Childhood Education is an advantage
-
Comfortable using structured teaching methods

General Requirements
-
Strong in arithmetic, logical reasoning, and number sense
-
2+ years of experience with working with young children
-
Native English proficiency (≥C2) in speaking, reading, and typing
-
Comfortable with teaching in both English and Chichewa
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Energetic attitude and spirit.

Professionalism, reliability, and willingness to learn

Familiarity with basic desktop publishing software, such as Google Docs/Slides/Sheets and Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint, WhatsApp
-
+3 years prior work experience preferred
