The Matheson LLP Scholarship in Law supports an eligible Year 2 Maynooth University BCL or LLB student with a €2,000 award, a year-long paid placement at Matheson LLP and mentorship.

Applications are open for 2026/27 and close at 1:00 p.m. Irish Standard Time on 12 October 2026. The €2,000 award is paid in two instalments during semesters 1 and 2. The recipient also receives a year-long paid placement at Matheson LLP and mentorship from both the School of Law and Criminology and Matheson LLP.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be registered in Year 2 of an eligible BCL programme or Year 2 of the LLB programme at Maynooth University in 2026/27, have successfully completed Year 1 and meet the published academic-achievement, motivation, legal-career aspiration and interest criteria.
