Full Job Description

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all mechanical production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role includes planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supervising the deck mechanic team, and managing spare parts inventory. The position also supports technical troubleshooting, maintains accurate maintenance records, and promotes continuous improvement. A strong commitment to safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and personnel training is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide feedback on performance issues to the Maintenance Superintendent and ‘on the job training’ where required.
  • Clear reporting of deficiencies and malfunctions to the Maintenance

Superintendent. Discuss and analyzes technical and spares issues with All Departments.

  • Propose solutions related to eventual bottlenecks, deficiencies, non-conformities to Maintenance Superintendent.

  • Ensure that all Topside plant and equipment is fully operational and critically maintained in accordance with procedures and to be proactive in maintaining high Standards.

  • Monitor Spare part consumption and stock levels. Re-order as necessary.

  • Ensure that planned maintenance activities are performed correctly, timely and in an efficient manner. Reporting or recording same as directed as per IFS system.

  • Review the quality of information in themaintenance database,such thatthe information contained is technically valid, accurate and up to date.Advise the Maintenance Superintendent oftechnical issuesrelated to the Process equipment,such that effective decisions can be made.

  • Be aware of the financial aspects related to the maintenance of mechanical equipment and Management of general housekeeping.

  • Other duties that are correlated to the function as directed and requested by Maintenance. Keep up certification applied to the function and medical certificates up to date

  • Attend Company training as defined.

  • Perform all emergency duties assigned to their function, in response to the emergency, if applicable. Ensure compliance with BW procedures, applied to the function, including BW Permit to Work System.

  • Need to be fully familiar and comply with Company Policies, Quality, HSE and all Procedures assigned to his title/position.

  • Anticipate and notice any unsafe condition and assure that the correction actions are taken according to procedure.

  • Responsible for your own safety and for the safety of your co-workers

Requirements

Education

  • Second Engineer License STCW 95 III/2.

Experience

  • Relevante experience in this role

  • Fullsteam and Tanker experience requested.

  • FPSO experience preferable.

Knowledge

• According to Competence assurance assessment form.
