About The Role

We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. You will design, develop, and integrate electromechanical subsystems of our humanoid robot platform, including actuators, sensors, wiring, and mechanical structures, ensuring seamless interaction with our embedded firmware and ROS2-based software stack. This role is key to driving the evolution of our robot hardware, taking ownership of system-level design, integration strategies, and validation of workflows for new modules and subsystems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate actuator and sensor subsystems for robot arms, grippers, and other modules
  • Collaborate with embedded engineers to define interfaces and integration points
  • Develop wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable routing strategies for reliability and maintainability
  • Assistin calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of sensors and electromechanical components
  • Support hardware bring-up and prototype validation of new modules

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong hands-on and design experience in electromechanical systems (motors, actuators, sensors, gearboxes)
  • Experience with system integration, calibration, and testing of hardware modules
  • Ability to read and create mechanical CAD and electrical schematics
  • Understanding of embedded systems, communication interfaces, and sensor integration
  • Familiarity with real-time systems and collaborative development with software/embedded teams

Beneficial Skills

  • 1+ years' experience with robotic arms, humanoid platforms, or dual-arm manipulation systems
  • Familiarity withembedded motorcontrollers and motion control systems
  • Knowledge of ROS2 integration and sensor data pipelines
  • Experience defining standards for hardware-software co-design
