MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST - LAKESWork where others holiday - enjoy the rivers, lakes, bustling cafes and vibrant life in Central OtagoFixed-Term, Part-Time Opportunity (32 hours per week)A supportive team, fast-paced environment with lots of interesting cases!Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) to join our team at Lakes District Hospital on a fixed-term, part-time basis from November 2026 until December 2027.This role is based in General X-Ray, and you will be required to conduct Diagnostic Medical Imaging examinations in a safe and professional manner. You will be required to liaise with staff and patients within the Hospital and wider Southern region, so good communication skills are essential. You will need to have a focus on quality and professionalism and be able to work unsupervised.Our medical imaging team is experienced, supportive, and genuinely enjoy working together. About the Team/Service/LocationLakes District Hospital Radiology has both X-Ray and CT facilities which you will be working across if you are qualified to do so. The hours of work are currently rostered shifts Monday - Sunday from 0800 - 2200 plus on call overnight.
