The Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA) is inviting applications for up to five individual residential fellowships of 3–6 months at the University of Ghana, Legon campus, for the 2027/28 academic year. Projects should connect with MIASA's sustainable-governance profile, including sustainable peace, sustainable democracy, sustainability transformation and related humanities or social-science themes. The earliest start is 1 September 2027 and the latest end is 31 August 2028. Fellows must be resident at MIASA for the fellowship period, subject to the programme's limited-absence rules.
Eligibility requirements
Open internationally to junior and senior scholars who will have been awarded their doctorate at least three months before the fellowship starts.
