About The Role

Are you a quantitative analyst passionate about using your skills to prevent financial crime and ensure robust model validation? Join our FCP Model Validation team, where you will challenge model design, data, and outcomes, and turn your findings into clear recommendations for stakeholders and senior management.

At SEB Global Services, we are an integral part of SEB’s risk and control framework. As part of SEB Group, you will work with financial crime models applied across multiple countries and regulatory environments, gaining exposure to diverse practices and requirements. You will collaborate closely with model owners, risk managers, and senior stakeholders in an international setting, while continuously developing your expertise.

As a Quantitative Analyst in our Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Model Validation team, you will play a critical role in strengthening SEB’s model risk framework. You’ll independently assess financial crime risk models, including money laundering/terrorist financing transaction monitoring, challenging model design, data, and outcomes. This vital work ensures regulatory compliance, sound decision-making, and contributes to SEB’s strong focus on risk identification and governance.

To Thrive In This Role, We Believe You Have:

Strong academic background in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, data science).

Solid experience with data and quantitative analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL, Git).

Demonstrated interest in model validation, model risk, and the regulatory use of models.

Ability to critically assess models and data, coupled with a strong analytical mindset.

Proactive, independent, and quality-driven approach to teamwork.

Previous experience in ML/TF, financial crime, risk management, or regulated financial services is an advantage.
