The current Monaco rules provide financial assistance toward education, professional-training and technical-study costs. Eligible higher-education routes include university study and recognized higher technical, engineering, political-studies, business and specialist schools. Award amounts are calculated from eligible study costs and the applicant household’s financial position rather than a single flat amount. The current framework also contains enhanced treatment for eligible Master 2 and doctoral study. The 2026–2027 notice states that online applications close at 14:00 on the last Friday of September 2026, which is 25 September 2026; Monaco observes CEST (UTC+2) on that date, so the deadline is normalized to 12:00 UTC.
Eligibility requirements
The current regulation covers Monegasque students and specified additional categories, including certain foreign spouses or descendants/dependants of Monegasque nationals, certain public-sector dependants or orphans, and qualifying foreign residents with at least ten years of uninterrupted residence in Monaco. For a first higher-education application, applicants are generally required to be under age 28, subject to the detailed exceptions and conditions in the official regulation.
