The 2027 GEMS call is open. Fifteen scholarships are offered each year with 42 months of stipend support, a 100% tuition-fee waiver for up to four years, and an optional study-away period at Monash Australia, Monash Indonesia or IIT Bombay.
Eligibility requirements
Full-time PhD applicants must meet Monash admission and English requirements and hold at least First Class Honours (H1) or an equivalent qualification recognised by Monash Malaysia. A research proposal aligned with one listed GEMS topic is required.
