Vietnam’s NAFOSTED and the Russian Science Foundation are accepting joint basic and applied research proposals in physics and marine science, with up to 10 projects planned.

The call supports joint Vietnam–Russia projects in physics and marine science. Up to 10 tasks may be funded for no more than 36 months. For the Vietnamese side, basic-research projects may receive the full approved budget up to VND 2.4 billion per task; applied-research projects may receive no more than 80% of total approved costs up to VND 8 billion per task. Vietnamese public support may not exceed 2.5 times the Russian partner contribution. Proposals must be jointly prepared by the Vietnamese and Russian research partners and satisfy both funders’ rules.
Eligibility requirements
Vietnamese applicants may be agencies, organizations, enterprises or individuals active in science, technology and innovation that meet the applicable Vietnamese legal conditions. For basic research, the call requires at least two participating members with doctorates and qualifying recent international publications; applied-research proposals must meet the source-stated research, publication, IP or transfer-experience criteria. A matched Russian partner proposal is required.
