UNICEF Oman is recruiting a national consultant for a 14-month remote assignment with travel to develop a Portage-based home visiting programme and training for families of children with disabilities.

Full job description

Working with UNICEF Oman and the Ministry of Social Development, the consultant will design and develop a family-centred home visiting programme, adapt Portage principles to the national context, build training curricula and materials, and deliver training-of-trainers to strengthen disability-inclusive social services.

Requirements & qualifications

The official posting requires a master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Disability Studies, Child Development and Early Intervention, Special Education, Social Work, Case Management or a related discipline, plus at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in disability, early-intervention, family-support or community-based programming. Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic are required.
