Position Description:
Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline designs, as-builts, and mechanical detail drawings. Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD. Generate bill of materials. Ability to work independently. Print working drawings using a plotter. Create estimated time requirements for projects. Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules. Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis. Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure. Verify and organize field visit survey notes. Assist Project Managers as needed. Attend meetings as needed. Maintain excellent client relations. Maintain a safe working environment.
High school diploma required Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental (or related field) is preferred
3+ years of experience in natural gas distribution systems/design, natural gas infrastructure, regulator station design, high pressure steel, compression, and government regulations. Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D. Compression station design experience is a plus. Horizontal directional drill (HDD) modeling is a plus. Experience with CadWorx or Autodesk Plant 3D is a plus.
