If you want to put your skills to work where the stakes are real and the mission is bigger than any one person,  forge the future with Voyager.   Job Summary The NDT Inspector/Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for Voyager Lunar Systems is responsible for managing and overseeing NDT operations, qualifying and certifying personnel, writing and reviewing procedures, performing inspections, and supporting internal and external audits. The position reports to the Electromechanical Technician Lead and is part of the Manufacturing, Integration, and Test (MI&T) team based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is onsite based in Pittsburgh, PA.   In this role, the essential functions are: Serve as the technical authority for assigned NDT methods. Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to support manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory codes Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections using methods such as: Radiographic Testing (RT) (required) Visual Testing (VT) Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Conduct welding inspections in accordance with AWS, ASME, API, and customer specifications. Prepare and approve NDT procedures and other related NDT work instructions. Provide technical expertise and guidance on NDE techniques, methods, and applications. Provide training, qualifications, certification, and professional development. Review and interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) records. Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate inspection records. Identify weld and dimensional errors and recommend corrective actions. High school diploma or technical degree in Welding, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding inspection and NDT. Experience with ASME Section V, VIII, IX, API 1104, API 650, or AWS D17.1. Preferred Qualifications: Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification Current ASNT NDT Level III in RT with nondestructive testing background. Strong understanding of welding processes and knowledge related to orbital tube welding. Travel, Physical, and/or Government Mandated Requirements:   Ability to work alternate shifts, weekends, and extra hours as schedules require. The good faith base hourly range for this role is $33-$48 per hour  at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
