Communications Consultant – Nethope Global Summit & Communications
NetHope is seeking a creative, collaborative, and experienced Communications Consultant to support its external communications, with a major focus on the NetHope Global Summit and broader communications activities from September through December 2026.

About The Opportunity
The Communications Consultant will provide communications expertise, content creation, digital communications management, and event communications support.
A significant component of the assignment will be supporting the NetHope Global Summit, including communications before, during, and after the event.
The consultant will also provide general communications management and support during November and December 2026.
The consultant must be available from October 23 through November 5 because of the live-event communications requirements and must be able to establish a dependable workflow overlapping with the Central European Time (Amsterdam) time zone.
Nethope Global Summit
The Communications Consultant will:

Publish text edits and updates to the NetHope Global Summit website through Cvent.

Prepare post-event website updates and create an email interest-list form through Campaign Monitor.

Update the website once the 2027 Summit look and feel has been finalized.

Manage the creation of in-person signage to strengthen NetHope’s brand presence and meet sponsorship deliverables.

Coordinate with the Director of Communications and graphic designer on event signage and attendee experience.
-
Manage the launch and ongoing updates of the Attendee Hub through Cvent.
-
Upload event assets and copy to the Attendee Hub.
-
Develop and implement display advertising and notification schedules.
-
Monitor event notifications and advertisements to ensure they publish correctly.
-
Add the 2027 banner and graphics to the Attendee Hub following the announcement.

Prepare and send pre- and post-event email campaigns using Campaign Monitor and Cvent.

Develop registered-attendee communications, including segmented communications for in-person and virtual attendees.

Support Know Before You Go communications and daily Summit emails.
-
Plan, schedule, and publish social media content using Metricool before, during, and after the Summit.
-
Incorporate event photography into social media and other communications.
-
Use Summit momentum to support thought leadership and promote NetHope’s key initiatives.

Support potential paid social media campaigns to increase registration.
-
Review event photography twice daily and select appropriate images for the highlight gallery.
-
Promote the event highlight gallery throughout the Summit.
-
Help collect quotes and testimonials from speakers and attendees.
-
Monitor Slack, social media, and other channels for testimonials and secure approval for future use.

Activate remaining communications-related sponsor benefits in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Philanthropic Partnerships.

Support development of the 2027 Sponsorship Prospectus in collaboration with relevant NetHope team members.
General Communications Management
From November through December 2026, the consultant will:

Triage incoming communications requests through Asana.
-
Help establish an efficient communications approval workflow.
-
Collaborate with program and communications teams through Slack.
-
Provide copywriting, copy-editing, and broader communications expertise.
-
Coordinate with web developers and graphic designers.
-
Plan and publish social media content.
-
Plan and publish the monthly newsletter.
-
Manage website content on WordPress, including homepage updates, blog posts, text edits, and document uploads.
-
Coordinate paid media and social media advertising where required.
-
Manage project queues for web developers and graphic designers.
-
Use Canva for social media graphics when appropriate.

Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Communications.

Provide weekly progress reports and handover documentation.
-
Participate in regular communications meetings and team communications through Slack and other platforms.
Required Qualifications And Skills
The successful consultant should demonstrate:

Responsible Use Of Ai
NetHope takes the responsible use of artificial intelligence seriously.
The selected consultant will be required to comply with NetHope’s AI Policy, which governs the use of AI tools in developing deliverables. The consultant will also complete a brief AI Disclosure Form during onboarding before commencing the engagement.
