The Role: Network Administrator As a Network Administrator at Venus Aerospace, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the enterprise network infrastructure that powers our engineering, manufacturing, and business operations. Working closely with other IT professionals, you will help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's network environment across multiple locations. This role is focused on maintaining a resilient and scalable network infrastructure that enables the business to operate efficiently. You will administer and troubleshoot critical network infrastructure, implement approved network changes, and support configuration management and monitoring solutions that keep the business connected. Success in this position requires strong technical fundamentals, sound troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where network availability and security are essential.

Configure and troubleshoot enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks, including VLANs, link aggregation, Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, and site-to-site VPNs
Install, terminate, test, label, troubleshoot, and maintain copper and fiber network cabling, patch panels, network racks, and related physical infrastructure
Implement network changes and infrastructure improvements while independently managing smaller networking projects
Maintain centralized network configuration management systems and ensure configuration consistency across network devices
Monitor network health, performance, and availability using monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues
Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, and infrastructure issues across enterprise environments
Collaborate with systems, security, and IT teams to maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing network services
Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures
Provide Tier 2/3 network support for escalated IT issues, working directly with users to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and network-related problems
Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management activities to ensure a secure and reliable network environment
3–6 years of hands-on experience in network administration or network support
Experience administering enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, routing, subnetting, and firewall concepts
Experience supporting multi-site network environments and maintaining high network availability
Experience using centralized network configuration management, monitoring, and alerting platforms
Experience creating and maintaining accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong customer service and communication skills, with experience working directly with end users and collaborating with technical teams
Network+, Security+, CCNA, or equivalent industry certification preferred
Experience supporting network infrastructure in engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, or production environments
Experience administering enterprise firewalls, including security policies, NAT, and traffic troubleshooting
Experience planning and executing network infrastructure upgrades or improvements with limited supervision
Experience configuring and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols in multi-site network environments
Experience configuring and troubleshooting redundant switching, routing, or firewall deployments in production environments
