Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Network Advisory, Principal Consultant based in United States. This is a senior consulting opportunity focused on helping organizations shape network strategies that are ready for evolving technology and business demands. You will lead complex advisory engagements spanning network architecture, operations, organizational readiness, and sourcing. The role combines strategic executive advisory with hands-on analysis of technical, financial, contractual, and operational considerations. You will help clients evaluate emerging areas such as AI-enabled workloads, software-defined networking, network security, cloud networking, and enterprise connectivity. As a trusted independent advisor, you will challenge assumptions constructively while aligning recommendations with client objectives and constraints. The position requires strong judgment, analytical depth, and the ability to turn complex findings into clear, defensible strategies and roadmaps. This is a remote U.S.-based role with limited travel and significant autonomy across a diverse range of client engagements.

Own the end-to-end delivery of network advisory engagements, including scope definition, planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and risk management. Lead current-state network assessments covering architecture, design, operations, and organizational readiness. Evaluate network environments in the context of AI-enabled workloads and AI-driven operational requirements. Develop defensible network strategies and future-state roadmaps that clearly outline sequencing, tradeoffs, risks, and investment implications. Translate assessment findings into actionable plans that balance technical feasibility, operational constraints, financial considerations, and contractual realities. Advise executive stakeholders on complex network strategy, sourcing, infrastructure, and operational decisions. Build credibility and trusted relationships with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders across client organizations. Serve as a subject matter expert on the network and operational implications of emerging technologies. Analyze network architectures, infrastructure platforms, carrier services, and operational models to identify opportunities and risks. Review financial models, vendor proposals, contracts, statements of work, and other commercial materials to support sourcing decisions. Develop evidence-based recommendations that connect technical strategy with business and financial objectives. Challenge client assumptions constructively while demonstrating sound judgment and respect for established client direction. Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities across technical, financial, organizational, and commercial considerations. Present complex analyses and recommendations clearly to senior and executive audiences. Participate in account planning, sales activities, and solution development within existing engagements and prospective client opportunities. Identify opportunities for expanding advisory scope when additional client needs or strategic opportunities emerge. Collaborate with internal specialists and broader consulting teams to bring relevant expertise into client engagements. Maintain high standards of project organization, communication, documentation, and delivery quality. Requirements: 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in the telecommunications or IT industry. Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field. Deep understanding of enterprise networking, including network architecture, infrastructure, carrier services, security, hardware, and software. Experience leading network strategy, assessment, readiness, sourcing, or transformation engagements. Ability to operate effectively at both the strategic executive level and the tactical analytical level. Strong consulting skills with the ability to independently structure complex problems and develop practical recommendations. Demonstrated financial modeling and commercial analysis capabilities. Strong project management skills and experience managing complex client engagements. Demonstrated leadership skills and willingness to proactively take ownership of expanding scope and responsibilities. Excellent communication and presentation capabilities, with the ability to define, defend, and explain recommendations confidently. Ability to assimilate different viewpoints and build alignment among stakeholders with varied priorities. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment. Self-starter with a high level of initiative, ambition, and accountability. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly when balancing technical, financial, contractual, and organizational factors. Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders at technical, operational, and executive levels. Willingness to travel less than 25% as required for client engagements. Ability to work remotely within the United States. Benefits: Remote position based in the United States. Travel requirements of less than 25%. Significant autonomy in managing and delivering client engagements. Opportunity to work on complex network strategy and transformation initiatives. Exposure to emerging technologies including AI-enabled workloads, software-defined networking, cloud networking, and network security. Opportunity to advise senior and executive stakeholders on high-impact technology decisions. Collaboration with a global team of more than 1,400 professionals. Diverse client engagements offering broad exposure across networking, technology, sourcing, and business strategy. Inclusive work environment that values diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. Opportunity to contribute to strategic advisory work while developing both technical and consulting expertise.
