We are a team of passionate individuals about hardware, software, and network infrastructure looking to build the fastest, easiest-to-use, developer-centric single-tenant Cloud infrastructure. If you share this passion, join our growing team of talented people and help build the future of the Internet. Why Latitude.sh? We're a lean, agile team of passionate professionals who believe in the power of innovation and creative problem-solving. As part of our team, you won't be lost in the crowd – you'll be an essential contributor, making a real impact from day one. Our values at Latitude.sh guide us in all our work and partnerships. We're proud to be an inclusive company, and we welcome all applicants for our open positions, regardless of their background, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, nationality, or disability. If these values speak to you, we'd love for you to become a part of our team.

The Network Operations Tech Lead is responsible for leading the 3rd shift team at Latitude.sh, ensuring around-the-clock availability, stability, and performance of our global network infrastructure. This role bridges hands-on technical work and team leadership, acting as the primary escalation point during overnight operations.

The Tech Lead coordinates with other shift leads and reports directly to the Network Manager, contributing to a continuous improvement culture across the entire NetOps team. This position demands deep technical expertise, strong decision-making under pressure, and the ability to guide and develop a team of Senior Network Analysts.

Server Provisioning & Delivery

Provision and deliver servers to customers within the delivery timeframes agreed at the point of sale;

Execute the full provisioning workflow: hardware configuration and validation, firmware updates, RAID setup, OS installation (Linux and Windows Server), network configuration, and IPMI/BMC access setup;

Run pre-delivery checks and validation to ensure every server is handed off to the customer fully functional and to standard;

Coordinate with data center teams and remote hands for physical tasks such as racking, cabling, and component swaps;

Prioritize daily work according to agreed delivery windows and direction from the DIOPS Tech Lead.

Delivery Timeframe Awareness & Escalation

Track the status and deadline of every order assigned to you and organize your work to meet each agreed delivery window;

Immediately flag to the DIOPS Regional Manager any order at risk of missing its delivery window (hardware shortages, failed components, tooling issues, or blocked dependencies) so action can be taken before the deadline slips;

Escalate complex or non-standard technical issues to the Regional Manager rather than letting a delivery stall.

Process Adherence & Continuous Improvement

Follow the standardized delivery workflows, runbooks, and checklists defined for the team, ensuring consistency and quality across deliveries;

Suggest improvements to runbooks and workflows based on hands-on experience, contributing to shorter and more predictable delivery times;

Participate in retrospectives on delivery misses and delays, providing accurate first-hand information for root-cause analysis.

Documentation & Records

Keep delivery records accurate and up to date in real time: order status, timestamps, configurations delivered, and issues encountered;

Document non-standard steps, workarounds, and recurring issues so they can be incorporated into runbooks;

Maintain accurate asset and configuration information for every server delivered.

English communication skills (B2 level or higher), both written and spoken;

Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience);

Proven experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a network operations environment;

Deep understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols, including:

Layer 2 & 3 concepts: MAC, VLAN, Trunking, Spanning Tree

IP networking: ARP, Subnetting, ACLs, DHCP

Routing: BGP, OSPF

Transport & management: TCP, UDP, SNMP, NTP, SSH

Troubleshooting tools: Ping, Traceroute

Strong incident command skills, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional response during critical events;

Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills, able to act calmly and effectively under pressure;

Clear and effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences;

Cisco CCNA certification (required); CCNP or higher strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

Experience with Juniper, Fortinet, Huawei, or multi-vendor environments;

Previous experience in ISP, data center, or large-scale infrastructure environments;

Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, LibreNMS, etc.);

Experience interacting directly with carriers and transit providers;

Prior experience in a shift lead or team lead role within a 24x7 NOC environment.
