A leading semi-government utilities organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Network Planning Manager – Electricity to lead the strategic planning, development, and optimization of the electricity distribution network. This is a senior technical role responsible for ensuring reliability, capacity growth, and long-term infrastructure planning in line with national energy objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop short-, medium-, and long-term electricity network planning strategies.
- Conduct load forecasting, capacity analysis, and demand growth modelling.
- Lead network expansion projects, reinforcements, and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards, safety, and technical codes.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, asset management, and capital planning teams.
- Prepare technical reports, investment justifications, and planning recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electricity network planning or power distribution.
- Strong expertise in load flow studies, network modelling tools, and utility planning systems.
- Experience within large utilities, infrastructure, or energy sector organizations in the GCC is highly desirable.
